Doctor by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid with the thesis Efecto de la disponibilidad de luz y agua en brinzales de alcornoque (quercus suber l.) En campo y en condiciones semicontroladas 2007. Supervised by Dr. Marta Pardos Minguez, Dr. José Alberto Pardos Carrión.

My research interest includes Urban Ecology, Forest ecology and Restoration ecology, focus on the key ecological processes witch drives ecosystem functioning. I have participated in more than 30 projects in Spain, California, Perú, and Costa Rica and I´ve been leader in five of them. This activity has resulted in numerous publications in international journals and conference papers (27 WoS), I have received a total citation by SCOPUS of 724, my H-index (Scopus) is 14, and i10-index is 20; I have been awarded by a first prize by the international contest Quarry Life Award (Bruselas, 8 Dec 2016).
