Doctor by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with the thesis Sociología del "fracaso escolar" en España construcción y gestión de un problema social 2015. Supervised by Dr. Rafael Feito Alonso, Dr. Araceli Serrano Pascual.

Assistant professor of Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid, Department of Sociology: Methodology and Theory. PhD in Sociology from the same university (2015). Before, he taught at the University of Burgos (UBU) and worked at Indaga (social research cooperative, www.indaga.org). His research interests include social and educational inequalities, school failure, school leaving and return to school, education policy and institutional devices, and transitions to upper secondary education.
