Doctor by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with the thesis La universidad de Madrid en el primer franquismo ruptura y continuidad 2001. Supervised by Dr. Elena Hernández Sandoica.

My research output has produced 10 monographs (5 of them coedited), 12 articles (many of them published in quality magazines present in indexes such as JCR, SCOPUS, Arts and Humanities Citation Index), 40 book chapters in international relevant publishing houses like Cambridge Scholars Publishing, Transcript, Hentrich & Hentrich or Iberoamericana Vervuert. I have also several publications in leading scientific outlets such as HSK and Cuadernos de Historia Contemporánea. I am the author of one Exhibition catalogue. I have been part of 11 research projects dealing with the history of the universities, the history of Spanish War, women history and history of cultural and scientific transfers, among other topics. I have been member of 2 Research team and I am currently included in 1 and I am the director of one of them. I am member of the Figuerola Institute of History and Social Sciences at Carlos III University of Madrid and of the Ortega y Gasset-Marañon Foundation. I have also participated in more than 60 conferences and specialized workshops in Germany, Spain, USA, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Portugal. I have been also a member of the scientific committee of congress and exhibitions. I have been curator of an exhibition and I usually am evaluator for such renowned Journals. I am member of the editorial board of three Journals and member of the Scientific board of one. I have obtained fellowships and research grants as doctoral and postdoctoral researcher at highly competitive programs, including doctoral fellowships by Complutense University of Madrid, and postdoctoral by the Carlos III University of Madrid. I have been Visiting Scholar at the Center for European Studies (Harvard University) twice and also Visiting Scholar at California State University Dominguez Hills. I obtained grants by Real Colegio Complutense in Harvard and by Del Amo Foundation. I have been also Guest Researcher at ZZF (Postdam, Germany). I am the director of CIAN-Journal of the History of Universities (www.uc3m.es/cian), I am also the director of Expehistoria. Research Group on Sociocultural and intellectual history and I am the director of the Complutense Workshop on Univeristy History. I have 3 investigation periods (sexenios de investigación) certified by ANECA. I am the supervisor of 9 Ph. D. Thesis which are about to be finished.
