PhD in Optometry and Vision Sciences and Assistant Professor in the Department of Optometry and Vision at the Faculty of Optics and Optometry, Complutense University of Madrid. My academic activity focuses on university teaching, applied research in vision sciences, and knowledge transfer to clinical and technological settings. I have taught in the Degree in Optics and Optometry and in the Master’s Degree in Optometry and Vision, particularly in subjects related to clinical optometry, clinical practice, ophthalmic optics, and binocular vision. I have received a very positive teaching evaluation through the Docentia-UCM programme and have experience supervising academic projects and co-supervising a doctoral thesis. My research focuses on visual function, binocular vision, ocular motility, myopia, ocular biometry, glaucoma, retina, and the application of new technologies in optometry, including virtual reality, eye tracking, and artificial intelligence. I have participated in research and knowledge-transfer projects related to virtual reality devices applied to individuals with and without ocular pathology, as well as studies linked to visual performance and sports vision. I am the author of scientific publications in indexed journals, book chapters, and national and international conference contributions. I also serve as a scientific reviewer and guest editor for international journals in the fields of visual health, optometry, and ophthalmology. My profile combines clinical experience, university teaching, and applied research, with a particular interest in the development of diagnostic, technological, and educational tools aimed at improving the assessment and care of visual health.
