Doctor by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with the thesis Una producción cultural distraída, desobediente, en precario e invertebrada análisis de alguna prácticas artísticas en la actualidad 2008. Supervised by Dr. Josu Larrañaga Altuna.

Artist and researcher, PhD in Fine Arts. Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Complutense University of Madrid. Between 2008 and 2021 she worked between Mexico and Havana in several universities and as deputy director of research at the National Center for Research, Documentation and Information on Plastic Arts of the National Institute of Fine Arts of Mexico. She colaborate with several Latin American artistic and academic institutions. Member of the research group Artistic Practices and Contemporary Forms of Knowledge (www. arte-conocimiento.com) and member of the management team of the journal Accesos (www.accesos.info) Author of the books: Life in Electronic Wetlands. Art and electronic, machinic, fictional and informational practices (Cenidiap, 2020), Sin fuera aparente. Towards an ecology of screens and humans (Cenidiap, 2017) Poetics of the 21st century: Distraction, disobedience, precariousness and the invertebrate (UANL, 2011) As an artist, she has an individual production as well as with Luis Gárciga (www.dateria.net) and the collective C.A.S.I.T.A. (www.ganarselavida.net. Her latest projects have been exhibited at the National Museum of Fine Arts (Havana, 2023), the XIII Havana Biennial, the National Center for the Arts in Mexico City and Matadero Madrid.
