Doctor por la Universidad de Córdoba (ESP) con la tesis Behavioural adaptations of cavity nesting birds 2015. Dirigida por Dr/a. Alberto José Redondo Villa, Dr/a. Juan Moreno Klemling.
Doctor of Science in the specialty of Natural Resources and Sustainable Management from the University of Córdoba (2015). My main research interests lie in the behavioral and evolutionary ecology areas with different bird species as models. My research mostly focuses on proximate mechanisms subject to sexual and natural selection processes, such as parent-offspring conflict, sex allocation theory and life-history evolution. In March 2022, I joined the Complutense University of Madrid as an Assistant Professor (Department of Physiology – Veterinary Faculty) to remain as a Ramón y Cajal researcher from February 2024.
