Abstract

It is analyzed in this research Ph.D. thesis the technique or the film mode of the Sequence-Shot enunciation as paradigmatic structure of the continuous or non fragmented textual framing or construction. Starting from the different existent terminological conceptions, it is developed an original definition of the material object of study, confronting it to other discursive instruments or resources such as the Long Take, diverging general theories are discussed built up around the internal editing and we proceed methodologically to the textual analysis and interpretation of the film continuity. Their expresive-technological bases are systematized in this block; it is contextualized in the Historical Modes of Film Representation; the fundamental enunciative and discursive poetic features are mentioned; the specific units are related and integrated to the film seen as a whole; the non fragmented structures are confronted to the formal articulations of the external editing and, finally, taxonomic criteria are set for the classification of the Sequence-Shots.
