Résumé
Synthetic polymers used in Cultural Heritage conservation, will be subjected to a prior exams to know their composition and their long-term behavior. The study will be determinate the chemical composition of the starting materials, the additives and the fillers, the processing techniques that can be applied depends on the material final use and the causes of the polymeric degradation. According to this, it is absolutely necessary realize a study of polymeric materials used in conservation and restoration of the artworks. This paper reports the steps following for this study: the selection of investigated materials, analytical techniques used (ATR-FTIR spectroscopy, spectrophotocolorimetry and morphological examination), artificial aging methodology and the dissemination of research results.
