Abstract

This paper analyzes the influence and similarities between the Structural Theory of Personality divided in three Ego States by Eric Berne, and the considerations of Carl Gustav Jung about the psychological structure expressed in the Catholic Dogma of the Trinity. Along with the triadic theory of Freud’s psyche, the three theories share elements and have an air of kinship. The main conclusion of this article is that Berne should have known and be influenced by this study when he developed his Structural Analysis of Personality
