Abstract
The institutionalization of pedagogy in the nineteenth-century Spain has been studied from different approaches and perspectives in historical research in education. But today is a lack of new interpretations or looks to analyze how gender differences have occurred in the early theoretical conceptions of Spanish pedagogy. Our focus is on pedagogical discourse analysis which was developed for female teachers, using as main sources the pedagogy texts were published to educate the first generations of female teachers.
