Abstract
Background: The formation in competences and the quantification in ECTS promote the incorporation of teaching methodologies with new forming and evaluation activities. It is necessary to have an evaluation system able to show the knowledge, abilities and behaviour acquired by students. Method: The working plan includes the establishment of the competences or results of learning that the student must acquire in the subject ―Pharmaceutical Technology I‖ of Pharmacy grade in the University Complutense of Madrid (UCM), the incorporation of activities in which those results of learning are shown and the development of evaluation strategies for the subject. Results: Some activities are proposed and developed able to improve the acquirement of competences. These activities give information to evaluate the result of learning. The results of some of the experiences carried out are presented. Conclusions: It seems mandatory that students face to projects more and more open, more problematic and less routine, in order to promote their autonomy in the day-by-day learning. This kind of activities helps students to acquire abilities. and also offer teachers evidences to perform a correct evaluation of the competences.
