Zusammenfassung

The main aim of this study was to analyze the psychometric properties of the Negative Acts Questionnaire – Revised (NAQ-R) (Einarsen, Hoel, & Notelaers, 2009), an instrument designed to measure exposure to workplace bullying, using a large sample of workers (N = 2.861; 44.6% male, 55.4% female). This questionnaire, which has been used extensively in many studies of workplace bullying, is one of the most valid self-report techniques to assess three types of bullying: personal bullying, work-related bullying and physically intimidating forms of bullying. The results obtained reveal that the NAQ-R has very high internal stability and reliability (.93), showing statistically significant correlations with scales measuring clinical psychopathology and burnout, which provided evidence of construct validity. Exploratory factor analysis revealed a three-factor solution, like the original version, that accounted for 54% of the total variance. In short, the results of this study provide psychometric support for the use of the Spanish version of the NAQ-R as a reliable and valid instrument to assess different types of bullying at the workplace.
