Resum

According to Recommendation Rec (2006)19 of the Committee of Ministers to Member States on Policy to Support Positive Parenting, where a series of objectives related to the task of parenting will be promoted, based, in addition to satisfying their basic needs, possess a series of knowledge, skills and practices in their parental competences that guarantee their development in a positive way in all their spheres. It should be promoted that these parental competences are based on affection, emotions, empathy, positive and assertive communication, favoring a secure attachment, a reinforcement of the bond of the children with their parents, as well as an optimal development of children in all areas. In this work, it will be analyzed these linking parental competences for positive parental exercise, through an integrative approach, under an integral view, considering that the parental competences and their components can be understood from multiple approaches and theoretical perspectives, integrating in turn a significant number of variables from the point of view of knowledge, skills and practices. To carry out this research, in a qualitative way, a case study is carried out with a sample of parents with children aged between 0 and 12 years old. Through the analysis of all the data collected, the strengths, weaknesses and potentialities in the knowledge, skills and practices that these parents have in their linking parental competences for positive parenting will be observed. Through the exhibition and discussion of the results, it will be concluded that these linking parental competences will be the root of the rest of parental competences that parents must possess for a positive parenting.
