Abstract
Abstract: The author offers a reading of Arthur C. Danto’s Analytical Philosophy of History. For him, Danto’s book relies heavily on its positivist context, and this prevents Danto from understanding history as anything but a scientific explanation that presupposes laws. This does not allow Danto to understand what is the most characteristic feature of history, that is, that it presupposes a theory in order to observe facts.
