Abstract

Pityriasis lichenoides is a reactive lymphocytic eruption of unknown etiology, more frequent in pediatric patients. From the clinical point of view it is characterized by small papulosquamous lesions that develop into ulcer crust ones. Due to its different morphology, two forms have been described: acute and chronic. It is believed that these clinical forms are extremes of the same disease. The prognosis is generally good and, in most cases, self-limited to weeks or months after the first outbreak.
