Abstract
The author analyzes the doctrinal foundations of Education today based on Philosophical Materialism, and the role of Pedagogy in it. According to this analysis, in public Education Systems of postmodernism is the teacher who is subordinate to the pedagogue, who has emerged as the “Supreme Pontiff” of the educational process. So he proposes a redefinition of the aims of Education in accordance with to the forgotten philosophical foundations.
