Resumen

La crisis de los refugiados se ha convertido en uno de los problemas de mayor calado a nivel político en los últimos dos años. Además de sus consecuencias socio-demográficas, la gestión de la misma por parte de la Unión Europea están poniendo en entredicho algunos de los valores tradicionales europeos de integración vinculados al reconocimiento de los derechos humanos, debido a que la UE ha diagnosticado dicha crisis a partir del enfoque de la seguridad y no del derecho humanitario y/ de asilo, que se ha consolidado a través de los medios de comunicación. En este trabajo se analizan las narrativas articuladas durante los dos últimos años sobre dicha crisis desde dos de los medios de prensa escrita con mayor impacto socio-político en España —El País y ABC—, estudiando cómo se ha ido desplazando el relato humanitario sobre los refugiados hasta ser absorbido por el discurso securitario.
