Resumen

La valoración de los beneficios sociales de los activos medioambientales ha ocupado una buena parte de la literatura de economía ambiental, pero todavía son pocos los estudios sobre el impacto que dichos activos y los esfuerzos por su conservación presentan en el beneficio privado de las empresas. Este artículo presenta un marco conceptual para la medición de dichos activos, a la vez que un resumen de metodologías propuestas para su análisis. Entre otros se consideran aspectos reputacionales, de gestión de la innovación, beneficios para la salud, nutricionales, etc,… haciendo distinción entre los impactos de proximidad o globales. De las evidencias recogidas se extraen una serie de proposiciones que pretenden servir de marco para futuros análisis.
