Abstract
Flat design is a new trend born from web design. It combines aesthetics with functionality with the goal to improve how people remember the graphics through the simplification of the shapes and colors. This research analyzes how this trend influences the cognitive perception that youngsters have towards the car logos. This research leveraged an online drawing tool to compile 45 drawings made by university scholars between 20 and 30 years old. All of them were Spanish and were studying biological science, health, social science and arts. Results show that the graphic marks that were better represented were those graphically simplest.
