Abstract

The present project explores intimate gender negotiations in a group of young heterosexual women. From a knowledge-based sociocultural perspective, my main goal on addressing this topic will be to untangle gender asymmetry and unbalance when attending to their intimate relationships with men; secondly, I will be attending to more specific goals such as: • Tracking social meanings involving intimate encounters from de grounding ambivalence of pleasure and danger. • Exploring practical negotiations from communication approaches, focusing on affective and corporal dimensions. • Analysing social meanings and incarnations around sexual pleasure. • Outlining danger scopes and sources of discomfort inside intimate encounters and localizing where these experiences result in sexual violences...
