Résumé

The focal parameters of earthquakes with an offshore focus are generally determined with very large uncertainties, due to the absence of seismic stations on land, close to the epicenter. The use of networks with ground stations in combination with ocean bottom seismometers helps to reduce the epicentral distance and the azimuthal gap, thus improving the estimation of the focal parameters of earthquakes. A second important factor that improves the precision of hypocentral locations is the use of a specific Earth model for the study area and especially 3D models. Although there are currently numerous global 1D Earth models, it is difficult to find 3D models for certain regions and that also have a valid resolution, to be able to be used as models in hypocentral earthquake locations. In addition to these factors, it is important to use a hypocentral search method that is robust, as is the case with current non-linear location methods, and can be applied with 3D models...
