Abstract
Culture and cultural information is affected by the effects of globalization which implies a commercialization of culture, which becomes a centralised and unanimous industry. Contrasting, it is imposed a humanization of culture and a bet for plurality and multiculturalism. In this sense, specialised media can develop a great labour in the quest for a higher interactivity and transparency in the cultural activity. Cultural information has its own characteristics and specific sources that the specialised journalist must know for these cultural contents. In this paper, theses characteristics are detailed, and I plead for the defence for a higher specialization in the cultural information, as a necessary way to rescue culture from the possible negative effects of the globalization in our society.
