Abstract
Dictionaries, grammars, conversation handbooks and second language learning methods from XVITH and XVIITH centuries have been intensively described, edited and examined during the last ten years. Nevertheless, phraseological units (idioms, sayings, proverbs) contained among the pages of these works, have not yet been systematically nor contrastively taken under consideration. Otherwise, linguistics and lexicographers do have paid attention to these materials from a synchronic perspective, giving precise and specific notions about them. In this work we aim to describe and analyze a brief but curious sample of bilingual Spanish-French phraseology, making use of part of this current taxonomy.
