Abstract
Our aim in this article is to go through the different investigations on the topic of Intercultural Education and of the foreign student, making an analysis of the main conclusions which have been found. This analysis is a means to framing our piece of work, as we will later focus on those Studies on Linguistic Immersion Classes/ Programmes, so as to check through the results attained. Our purpose is to make a larger approach on how these Programmes work and if they have attained the expected objectives: to teach the "lingua franca"/ communication language, helping out with the smooth integration of this type of pupils not only in the school system but also in our society
