Zusammenfassung
Some artists coming from different world regions happen to share similar aesthetic trends. What elements underpin this claim? In the hispanophone countries, the Spanish language is undoubtely a unifying factor among filmmakers and wri-ters, yet not the only one. So are the shared cultural refe-rents, the traditional narrative paradigms and the common images by these narratives generated. This is especially to be seen in the popular cultural productions. The general public, both hispanic and international, appropiates these produc-tions and, sometimes, redefines them. In turn, the cultural industries are engaged in turning these popular trends into transnational audiovisual / literary merchandise, establi-shing artistic subversion as an alternative market brand, re-ady for the consumption of those users who overturn stereo-types and seek an alleged narrative originality.
