Zusammenfassung

After introducing within the text the international overview of art and health, as well as the ARTYS project, the research hypothesis is presented. The hypothesis which has been anticipated in the third line of this abstract is structured through the pedagogical dimension of art. Besides, it is also articulated around the view about the democratic access that perceives people as creative individuals with the ability to build cultural and artistic knowledge through the opportunities generated in their immediate environment. In this way, this thesis aims to validate, prove and highlight that the creative processes are, firstly, legitimate tools to gather, describe and respond to the needs of the people involved in the project. Secondly, the creative activity ease the community participation to build new scenarios for its social relationships. Finally, the imaginative processes allow us to work with a positive approach to community health (salutogenic model) in order to give rise to a social change.In the first chapter, the Ecosystem Framework is presented. It is here that the institutional, along with the phsical, social and human contexts of this research project are described. First, regarding the institutional level, it explains what is Organismo Autónomo Madrid Salud (Madrid Salud) and Art and Health Project, because the experience that structures the research is included in a formative and research fellowship, that had been granted by this public institution. In addition, it is shown the start of the fellowship, the creation of the artistic group, Batas Nomadas, the first joint activity between the artistic group c and Madrid Salud teams, and also the arrival of the art and health professional to Villaverde to start up the project. Later, it is exposed the geographical configuration of La Colonia Experimental of Villaverde Alto and its social vulnerability situation.
