Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the written tests that assess the knowledge of Spanish as a foreign language of Gabonese students at the end of high school in Gabon. The design of the official test has undergone many changes in the organization of the content blocks and the distribution of marks. The grade obtained by students in this test has an impact on the final grade in the Baccalaureate school-leaving examination, which means that teaching in the classes of Spanish as a foreign language is limited to training students to pass this test, using models that have been designed by teachers, in which official regulations are interpreted very differently.The study investigated the structure of these tests in four Gabonese educational institutions and compared them with those designed by the Ministry of Education. It is a comparative study of the structure, content blocks, scoring and weighting of marks in the training tests designed in these schools.
