Abstract

This research from the point of view of the public sector is dedicated to transparency in the advertising of subsidies and public policies of subsidies in the environment of large beneficiary companies. A critical analysis of the Nacional Grants Database (BDNS) has been carried out. The Transparency of Companies that Receive Subsidies (TESUB) model has been proposed, which enables the assessment of three areas of transparency. We carried out two sector efficiency and productivity studies with two models of the Malmquist Index (MI) using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). We check whether they serve as a complement to the traditional balance sheet analysis, performing a regression analysis focused on “efficiency.vrs”, as a dependent variable. In the 2014-2019 period of application of the transparency law in Spain, a positive effect on the productivity of companies can be expected after allocating public aid. With the productivity model of the output-oriented Malmquist index, a statistical regression model of variable effects has been specified that relates MI with data referring to the granting administration and subsidies and loans, applying “lags” and also with other variables, establishing hypotheses that are discussed after the results obtained
