Abstract
Childhood is crucial for the biological development of children. In this sense, physical activity plays an important role for the normal development either biological, or motor or psychological. Thus, numerous researches have assessed physical fitness in children. This study have used several tests belong to Eurofit test Battery (plate tapping, 5 meters shuttle run test, long jump and handgrip) to examine physical fitness. The aims of this study were to know the level of physical fitness and compare with works of reference and, analyse such physical level in accordance with the amount of organized practise. The sample comprised 142 male participants belonged to 3 schools from Mérida (Badajoz) and Plasencia (Cáceres). They were classified in three groups in accordance with the amount of organized physical activity: Scholar compulsory Physical Education group (GEF), extracurricular non competitive physical education group (GEX), and affiliated group (GDF). We can conclude that our sample showed lower vales than the reference works and, the more physical activity the practised the more physical fitness they showed.
