Resumo

In recent years studies on emotional intelligence have been booming, evidencing the influence that emotions exert on people's lives, as well as on thoughts, attitudes, and the passage of identity. Despite this recent advance, and its connection with several behavioral factors being demonstrated, its link with gender studies is very recent and still scarce, this study aims to specifically explore the relationships between emotional intelligence and sexist stereotypes, in the adolescente population, the period of time when, gender violence is more common, proposing its development as an effective tool in the prevention of inequality and violence against women.
