Abstract

Artistic practices from chronic illness: the case of Crepitantes as a project around cystic fibrosis is an interdisciplinary research that seeks to analyze how the generation of artistic practices around a chronic disease can give value, make visible and raise awareness about the stories of minority groups affected by these pathologies, improve the patient's experience of the disease they suffer and facilitate the creation of community learning environments from which to share knowledge and experiences among people linked by the same affectation. This thesis aims to address issues, problems and questions that arise around the disease in the various areas that shape life, as well as to identify the possibilities and modes of activation of artistic practices generated by the disease, analyzing its repercussions both at social and institutional level.
