Resumo

Between February 16 and 22, 2000, a paramilitary commando (illegal army at the service of the ultra-right forces of the Colombian State) executed 66 people among men, women, and children, using their traditional music, manipulating their instruments after each murder or brutal rape, in the El Salado village (Montes de María, Colombia). The chapter examines the actions that can be related to a possible process of reparation for the profound damages focusing on the recovery of the manifestations of the intangible heritage of this community belonging to the soundscape of drums, whistles, songs, and gaitas of the Colombian Caribbean and the discussion that this raises as alternatives for peacebuilding.
