Résumé

This paper analyzes the impact of current AI systems from a legal perspective and, in particular, its impact in the field of higher education is observed. Being a true fact the current boost that this technology receives from the European Union (EU) and in view of the potential benefits it offers, it should also be warned about its risks. Therefore, having a common European regulation on AI is essential, in order to have the necessary legal basis. In this sense, the relevant milestone represented by the planned “EU AI Law” is valued, Anyway, a proactive and, at the same time, preventive legal approach must be adopted. Likewise, it is estimated that actions aimed to legal innovation and teaching innovation, both acting in parallel, acquire valuable functionality in front of this complex environment. If we intend to address this issue adequately, with maximum diligence and effectiveness we´ll be pragmatic.
