Propiedades Psicométricas del Cuestionario de Percepciones sobre el Envejecimiento Versión Corta en Personas Mayores Españolas

Resum

El objetivo de este estudio es aportar evidencias psicométricas de la versión en español del Aging Perceptions Questionnaire Short Version (APS-S), en población mayor española. Se aplicó el cuestionario a 201 personas españolas de 65 años o más que viven en comunidad. La consistencia interna de las subescalas fue aceptable o buena (α=.766-.864; ω=.784-.864). El modelo factorial no presentó un ajuste perfecto (χ2 (168)=285,719, p<.001), pero los índices adicionales de ajuste fueron aceptables (CFI=.943; RMSEA=.059; SRMR=.052). No se evidenció solapamiento interfactor. Tras introducir variables demográficas, modalidad de aplicación y optimismo, la dimensión representaciones emocionales aportó varianza significativa en la explicación de las tres variables objetivo: control positivo en sintomatología ansioso-depresiva y bienestar, tiempo crónico en bienestar y consecuencias negativas en salud física. Este instrumento es prometedor en la evaluación de estereotipos de envejecimiento autodirigidos es España.
