Resum

The article focuses in the link between cinema, education and the right to education. Pragma-tics appears due to the fact that education is communication: there is always a sender and a receiver. The sender can be an educator, a cinematographic creator, and the cinematographic narration itself. The receiver, in this approach, is the learner. Analysing the case of the film The boy who harnessed the wind (Ejiofor, 2019) as an example of educational cinema, a series of competencies are proposed that sender and receiver must comply with so that both educator and learner exercise their respective pragmatic obligations regarding the right to education.
