Doctor by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with the thesis Conceptualización de la temperatura de la sensación a la creación del conocimiento 2024. Supervised by Dr. Ángel Ezquerra Martínez.
Rafael Campillos has a PhD cum laude in Education from the Complutense University of Madrid. He also has a degree in Physics and a Master's degree in Teacher Training from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Didactics of Experimental, Social and Mathematical Sciences, teaching in the area of Didactics and Foundations of Physics and Didactics of Natural Sciences. He has been honorary collaborator of the Department of Didactics of Experimental, Social and Mathematical Sciences of the UCM (2022/2024). His research focuses on the neurodidactic bases and sensory perception related to the learning of physics, specifically, with the magnitude temperature. This research has led to the development of a patent (“Termosensímetro”), a device for the parametric study of thermal sensation, and she is a member of the Research Group ‘Neurodidactics, Science and Society’, in which she began her research activity, participating in both R+D+i and teaching innovation projects. Regarding science communication and dissemination, he has collaborated with the National Museum of Science and Technology (MUNCYT) and with scientific popularisation initiatives.
