Doctor by the Universitat de Barcelona with the thesis El movimiento de la Grafía Latina y la creación tipográfica francesa entre 1945 y 1960 2015. Supervised by Dr. Raquel Pelta, Dr. Carlos Ameller Ferretjans.

With a PhD in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, Manuel Sesma is a teacher, researcher, editor and translator specialising in typography. After starting his career as a photographer and graphic designer, he has developed his teaching career in various Spanish higher education centres, both public and private, and currently works as a lecturer on the Degree in Design and is academic secretary of the Department of Design and Image at the Complutense University of Madrid. He is also co-director of Tipo e, a project interested in publishing books based on Latin typography, and collaborates with various national and international publications as an editor and technical reviewer on graphic design and typography.
