Doctor by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with the thesis El espacio urbano Universo para una accion. La espacialidad narrativa en "Fortunata y Jacinta" de B. P. Galdos y en "La febre d'or" de N. Oller 1999. Supervised by Dr. Juan Miguel Ribera Llopis.
Professor of Spanish Literature, accredited in 2010; member of the Department of Hispanic Literatures and Bibliography, Departmental Section (Literature and Media), Faculty of Information Sciences, UCM. Specialist in 19th century Spanish literature related to social media, mainly around the writers: Benito Pérez Galdós, Narcís Oller and Duque de Rivas. He has been a collaborating lecturer at several European and American universities, receiving various international distinctions and awards. Author of numerous articles, papers, chapters, books..., of which his most recent contributions are Spanish Literature and the Media, edt. Síntesis, 2016. Director of the collections: Clásicos Laberinto and Cuadernos de Literatura Occidental, at Ediciones del Laberinto, Madrid. Co-director, together with the Museo del Romanticismo, of the I Congreso Internacional Ángel Saavedra, Duque de Rivas (2008), and the II Congreso Internacional Literatura y Prensa Romántica: El Artista y el Semanario Pintoresco Español en sus aniversarios (2011).
