Ricardo Llorente Miguel is PhD in Biological Sciences since 2011, Lectures at the Complutense University of Madrid since 2020. He has 31 scientific papers published in peer-review journals indexed in JCR (70% in Q1; 35% in D1); cited 1,346 times (data from the Web of Science). H Index: 23. He had directed and co-directed 4 Final Degree Thesis, and currently co-directing a Master Thesis. Ricardo obtained his degree in Biological Sciences in the UCM in 2004 (5 years’ degree: 1999-2004). In 2004 he started his research in Mª Paz Viveros’ group at the Animal Physiology department of Biology College, his research had focused on animal models to study the short and long-lasting effect of environmental factors (mainly stress and drugs) during developmental windows of vulnerability (neonatal and adolescence period), paying special attention on the relevance of cannabinoid system. During this pre-doctoral period, he was funded by a pre-doctoral fellowship associated the project BFI2003-03101, until 2006, when he was awarded by a Pre-doctoral Grant (Programa de Formación de Personal Investigador por la Universidad Complutense), that become a contract from 2008 to 2010. From 2010 to 2011 he received a contract associate to the project BFU2009-10109. In 2011 Ricardo achieved his PhD in Biological sciences (UCM) and their thesis was awarded with Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado de la Facultad de Ciencias Biológicas de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (convocatoria 2010-2011). During his pre-doctoral research period he also visited Prof. Ceri Davis’ laboratory at the St. George's Hospital (University of London, London) during six months to learn electronic microscopy and other techniques and other 6 months, three in 2008 and three in 2009 to Prof. Ron de Kloet’s laboratory (LACDR/LUMC, University of Leiden, Leiden) to continue his research project on the consequences of early life stress and to learn new techniques, i.e. in situ Hybridisation. From 2012 to 2020 Ricardo was associated professor at European University of Madrid, become Full Professor on 2017 until 2020. In November of 2020 Ricardo obtained a Lecturer position at Physiology department of Medicine College of Complutense University of Madrid, where he is working nowadays as a member of the research group (UCM - 951579) entitled "Fisiopatología del Fracaso multiorgánico: abordajes terapeúticos" (Physiopathology of multiorgan failure: therapeutic approaches). As a researcher Ricardo has been part of the team in 11 competitive researching projects, and participated in the elaboration of more than 40 abstracts presented in national and international congresses. As an Associate Professor and Lecturer he has imparted more than 4000 hours of class, in different grades and subjects.
