Doctor by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid with the thesis Statistical methods for the integration analysis of –omics data (genomics, epigenomics and transcriptomics) an application to bladder cancer 2015. Supervised by Dr. Núria Malats Riera, Dr. Kristel van Steen.

I am assistant professor at UCM since 2021 at the statistics and data science department with teaching and research in the biostatistical field. My main research topic is in applying and developing machine learning techniques for the omics data analysis in biomedicine. I graduated in Statistics in 2006 (diplomatura- Universidad de Zaragoza) and in 2009 (licenciatura – Universidad Complutense de Madrid) with honors ("Premio Nacional"). I obtained my doctoral thesis at the CNIO (España) jointly with the Liege University (Belgium) (2012-2016) with "La Caixa International Fellowship".  In 2016, I moved to the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) to the computational institute to do my postdoc (2016-2019). Between 2019-2021 I received a project funded by the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) as part of the immune-oncology fellowship program (2019-2023) as a principal investigator.
