Adrián García Vidal holds a Master's degree in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature from the University of Salamanca. He has taught Spanish at the University degli Studi di Pavia and, from 2016 to 2023, he worked at the Complutense University of Madrid as a research manager for the myth criticism projects Acis&Galatea (2016-2019) and Aglaya (2020-2023). He has organized several international conferences and seminars about myth, science fiction, and audiovisual media, in conjunction with other universities (the University of Alcalá, Autonomous University of Madrid, and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, among others). He has been part of the Editorial Committee of Amaltea, Journal of Myth Criticism, and the board of Asteria, International Association of Myth Criticism. In 2023, he was chosen by FECYT (Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology) to participate in one of the working groups for the improvement of the Standardized Curriculum Vitae. His academic interests revolve around the impact of audiovisual fiction on society, the masculine processes of radicalization, and the subversion of classic narrative structures in Postmodernism. Currently, he is enrolled in the specialty Methods and Statistics in Social Sciences at the University of Amsterdam and offers his services for the organization of conferences about the Humanities.
