Alfonso Elorriaga holds a PhD in choral pedagogy during adolescence, he is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Research in Choral Singing (ACDA) and Revista Internacional de Educación Musical (ISME). He is the founder of the "Voces para la Convivencia" project, which has received numerous awards both in Spain and internationally. Author of numerous articles and books, he will soon contribute to the New Oxford Handbook of Music Education. Alfonso has taught in the Master's Program in Innovation and Research in Music Pedagogy and the Master's Program in Music Teacher Training, both at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). He currently collaborates with the Master's Program in Choral Conducting and Research at the "Katarina Gurska" Higher School of Music. He has directed the UAM Choir, collaborated with the Children's and Youth Choir of the Community of Madrid, and has been a guest speaker at more than 75 national and international courses and seminars. He is currently a Lecturer at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and collaborates with the "Zarza" project at the National Zarzuela Theatre in Madrid as a choral pedagogy trainer and arranger. He is also a member of the teaching staff of the Spanish National Choir of Music Teachers and the National Board of the Spanish Association of Choral Directors.
