Doutora pola Universidad Complutense de Madrid coa tese Paisaje y territorio celtibérico en el Alto Duero 2017. Dirixida por Dr. Enrique Cerrillo Cuenca, Dr. Alfredo Jimeno Martínez.

I am a Lecturer in Prehistory at UCM since 2022. I have more than 6 years of postdoctoral experience, 4 of them abroad. Two are the main pillars of my research: protohistoric archaeology and the application of digital methods. I obtained my PhD in May 2017 with the mention of being a European Doctor and the highest qualification at UCM. I carried out 3 pre-doctoral research stays at the universities of Durham, Edinburgh and Bradford (UK). My PhD was funded by an FPU grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (2013-2017), focusing on the construction of identities and power in the communities of the Upper Duero River during the Iron Age (BAR Publishing, 2022). Previously, I had obtained a BA in History, specialised in Prehistory (2004-2009), and an MA in Geographic Information Technologies at the same University (2010-2011). Both equipped me with the skills necessary for theoretical, methodological and technical aspects of archaeological research. Before starting my PhD, I worked for 20 months as a Research Assistant (JAE-Tec programme, 2011-2013) at the Institute of Archaeology of Mérida (CSIC), focusing on landscape and territory research lines, expanding my practical and technical knowledge of both methods of archaeological survey and excavation, and historiographical research. I have been awarded three postdoctoral contracts in international and national competitive public calls. I have been a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Lancaster University (ESRC, Dep. History and Digital Humanities Hub, 2018-2021), a researcher of the "María Zambrano" international talent attraction programme at the Univ. of Salamanca (Dep. Prehistory, Ancient History and Archaeology, 2022) and obtained a Postdoctoral Fellowship - Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions 2021 (Incipit-CSIC). I have participated in numerous international and national conferences and have published more than 50 scientific papers including monographs, articles and book chapters, including multiple peer-reviewed journals indexed in JCR and SJR. Since 2022, I have been leading the research at the archaeological site of Numancia, funded by the UCM and the Junta de Castilla y León. I also participate in the URBADEN National Research Plan project, funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation (2023-2025), and in the PASTWOMEN research network, funded by the same organisation (2023-2025). I am a member of the research groups GIAP of the UCM (Research Group in Prehistoric Archaeology) and PREHUSAL of the University of Salamanca (Research Group in Prehistoric Studies of the Iberian Peninsula). I am also a member of the Complutense Digital Humanities Centre and the Institute of Feminist Studies (UCM). I combine my research activity with teaching, having delivered more than 650 hours. From 2015 to 2017, I have taught several modules in the History and Archaeology degrees at UCM. Between 2018 and 2021, I delivered different modules in the MA in Digital Humanities at Lancaster University. Also, I was hired in 2021 as an Assistant Professor at the University of Edinburgh for one semester to coordinate and teach two modules of the BA in Archaeology and MA in Archaeology. I have been invited to contribute to the MA in Cultural Heritage and Museology at the University of Barcelona (2021-2023) and to the BA in History at the University of Salamanca (2023). Currently, I am teaching at the Degrees in Archaeology, History and the Double Degree in History and Classical Philology, as well as the MA in Archaeological Research at the UCM. Likewise, I have led a teaching innovation research project funded by Lancaster University (2019) and participated as a member in one of the Innova UCM call (2023).
