Resumen

The present study responds to the main objective of offering a descriptive and contrastive analysis of the interjection in two languages that show a great typological difference: Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Although some previous studies have explored this grammatical category, there is still little research that traces the description and analysis of the interjection in the Spanish and Chinese languages, comparing their properties, meanings and uses.
