Abstract

The dissertation “Artistic Learning and Happiness. Case Study of the Independent Artistic Venue Fosforita Madrid” (2021), seeks to know what are the characteristics of an artistic learning methodology that is being experimented in a specific context, the artistic venue Fosforita Madrid. It is not a defined methodology and yet, it manages to make people feel happy when they follow it.The main goal of this dissertation is to describe the artistic venue Fosforita Madrid to detect if the venue has been experimenting with a methodology of artistic learning that improves the self perception of happiness of the people who practice it. The methodology of this research is inspired in the one used by UNESCO to write the report “Happy Schools: Working Framework for Well-Being Education in Asia- Pacific”. The conclusions of this report, despite being far from the context of the present research, were that their qualitative methodology has a marked participative focus, which allowed for people — students, teachers, parents and other people linked to the core nucleus of the school system —, instead of the experts, decided what elements are important to feel and learn happiness within their educational context...
