Luis Baratas González (Madrid, 1989). Economist specialized in international economics and innovation economics. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Complutense University of Madrid (UCM, 2013) and a Master's degree in International Economics and Development (2015) from the same university. Since 2021, he has served as Associate Professor at UCM's Department of Applied Economics, Public Policy and Political Economy, within the Applied Economics section of the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology. Concurrently, he has pursued his professional career in public institutions related to technological innovation. Since 2023, he has served as Head of Sector for the Desafía Programs at ICEX, driving the internationalization of Spanish technology companies. He has also held positions in the Strategy Department of ENISA (2019-2021), managing mission-oriented innovation policies, and in the International Funds Department of CDTI (2022-2023), overseeing European funds dedicated to business R&D&I. His professional trajectory combines experience in public administration, university teaching, and applied economic researching.
