Luis Baratas González (Madrid, 1989). Degree in Economic Sciences from the UCM (2013), Master's degree in International Economics and Development (2015) from the same University. Since 2021 he is an associate professor at the Department of Applied, Political and Public Economics of the UCM, in its departmental section of Applied Economics in the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology. During his university education, he collaborated with the European Dynamics and Structures research group attached to the Complutense Institute of International Studies (ICEI). He has also been part of the Organizing Committee of the XV Conference on Critical Economy (Madrid, 2016) and has collaborated with different organizations in the economic, social, and university fields. Between 2019 and 2021 he worked in the Strategy Department at Spanish National Innovation Company (ENISA) under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism; developing a process of analysis, design, and implementation of different tools of holistic mission-oriented innovation, entrepreneurship, and industrial policies. From early 2022 to nowadays, he has been working in the International Funds Management Department at the Center for Technological and Industrial Development (CDTI), dependent on the Ministry of Science and Innovation; where he carries out tasks of planning and management of European funds dedicated to the reform and strengthening of the capacities of the National System of Science, Technology, and Innovation. He currently teaches the subject of Political Economy in the different degrees offered at the Faculty.
