Doctor by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with the thesis Las series de televisión sobre médicos (1990-2010) tres enfoques: comunicación interpersonal, comunicación institucional, relaciones entre ética, moral y política 2010. Supervised by Dr. Felicísimo Valbuena de la Fuente.
Lecturer in the Faculty of Information Sciences, Complutense University of Madrid. Director of the journal Investigaciones Feministas UCM, Dialnet Q1 and Sello de Calidad FECYT 2024. She has two sexenios of research. Currently, she is Co-PI of the R&D Project ‘Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento’, Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, entitled ‘The Manosphere in Social Media. Cultural produsage to reverse gender stigmas and hate culture’, reference PID2022-141877NB-I00, 2023-2027; and PI of the Proyecto I+D Comunidad de Madrid para jóvenes doctores, call PR/27/21, entitled ’Traceability, Transparency and Access to Information: Study and Analysis of the dynamics and trends in the field’, reference: PR27/21-017, Multiannual Agreement with the Complutense University of Madrid, in its line of Stimulation of Research for Young Doctors, in the framework of the V PRICIT. She has completed her postdoctoral training at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), with a full scholarship, and has travelled as an expert in gender studies to the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP, Mexico). Member of the Instituto de Investigaciones Feministas (UCM) and member of the Research Group 671: Interdisciplinary Group of Feminist Research.
