Carlos Carpena Torres is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Optometry and Vision at Complutense University of Madrid. He is the author of 37 peer-reviewed scientific articles and has delivered more than 70 presentations at international conferences. He has participated in 6 competitive research projects funded by public institutions, including 3 funded by the European Commission. He has also completed research stays at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, the Universidade do Minho, and the State University of New York. His current research focuses on the impact of the circadian cycle and biological rhythms on ocular physiology.
