Carlos Carpena-Torres is an assistant professor in the Department of Optometry and Vision at the Complutense University of Madrid. He has authored 34 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented over 70 communications at international congresses. Additionally, he has participated in 20 preclinical and clinical research projects, notably contributing to 3 projects funded by the European Commission. He has also conducted research stays in Portugal at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory and the University of Minho. His current research focuses on the role of light's chromatic composition in controlling the progression of myopia.
